How to Replace the Starter Motor on a Volkswagen Golf Mk4

To replace the starter motor on a Volkswagen Golf Mk4, open the bonnet to access the screws securing the battery in its housing. By unscrewing these screws and disconnecting the connectors, you can remove the device from its housing and access the starter motor below. Disconnect the connectors and the fixing screws, which are accessible from the underside of the engine bay. Once the device is freed, replace it with a new part and reassemble all previously removed components.
