How to Repair the Dashboard Console Lights

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003

The necessary tools are:
- a flat screwdriver
- pliers
- gloves and a cloth

In this case, you need to replace a blown bulb at the back of the air flow adjustment knob.
Start by removing the knobs, which should be pulled off only when in the vertical position using the cloth and pliers to avoid leaving marks.
Using the flat screwdriver, disengage the protective trim, then remove the second trim present.
Now you can comfortably replace the faulty bulb and reassemble everything by following the procedure in reverse without forcing the clips.
