Operation: Timing Belt Replacement how to proceed.

Remove the engine cover. Remove the belt cover. Bring the engine to center dead center. Move aside the coolant container (it does not need to be emptied). Remove the valve ACF solenoid. Put all these elements aside. Insert the engine support bar. Remove the three 16mm head bolts of the motor. Remove the four 13mm bolts securing the plate. . Remove the four 16mm support bolts. Remove the 10mm bolt. Mark the direction of rotation of the auxiliary belt. Release the belt tensioner and remove the auxiliary belt. Use the special tool 3415 to lock the pulley and remove the 22mm nut that holds it in place. Remove the tool and refit the bolt to avoid dropping it. Remove the belt tensioner pulley (13mm) Remove the two 10mm belt cover bolts. Release the two springs of the cover. Mark the position of the low engine pulley. Using the special tool T10016 lock both pulleys. Carefully mark their location and remove the strap. Release the primary belt tensioner (13mm) Remove the second belt tensioner (13mm) remove the two tensioners above and below. (16mm) Remove the tool and remove the second belt. After removing the belts, check that the pulleys are not worn. Align the pulleys to the marks and reassemble the new belt using the T10016 tool and lock the cams again. Reassemble everything in reverse order.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
