Replacement of Front Bonnet Gas Strut

If the front bonnet struggles to stay open, it means the gas strut (often referred to as a hydraulic piston) is damaged and can no longer support the weight of the bonnet. Replacing this strut is simple and cost-effective, as it can be easily purchased from the aftermarket by checking the compressed length and type of fittings. Once the front bonnet is open, remove the retaining clips and disconnect the strut fittings while supporting the bonnet during this process. Then, fit the new strut by connecting the fittings and securing the retaining clips.
