To replace the bulb in the external rear-view mirror on the Volkswagen Golf, use a tool to pry off the outer cover of the mirror: once removed, you can proceed by loosening the screws that secure the light to its housing and disconnecting its connector.

This way, the bulb inside can be removed and replaced with a new spare part; after replacement, reposition the light, securing it and reconnecting it, then reinstall the cover.
