In this brief tutorial, learn how to replace the glow plugs on a Volkswagen Passat 2.0 TDI, produced from 2005 to 2010. Start by opening the bonnet and freeing the glow plug cables from the plastic clips. Next, remove the coils from the glow plugs and clean their housing. While the engine is still warm, unscrew the glow plugs one by one using a 10 mm socket with an extension. Unscrew them carefully to avoid breaking them, using a bit of lubricant spray if necessary. Finally, remove the old glow plugs and replace them with new ones, following the procedure in reverse.
