Let's see how to replace the Xenon bulb on a Volkswagen Golf VII without completely removing the headlamp. In this case, we will use a different technique. Remove the wheel and access the headlamp from the wheel arch by removing two screws from the inner wing of the front wheel. From here, you can simply remove the screws holding the headlamp cover (you would have to do this anyway) and replace the bulb. There are slots inside to extract the bulb, after which you can remove the bulb and replace it. This will save you from having to recalibrate the headlamp, which would be necessary if you had to remove it and then refit it, a much more invasive operation.
