Removing the rear lights on a Volkswagen Golf, as shown in this tutorial, is a very simple task. Before proceeding, ensure that the key is not in the ignition for safety.

Start by opening the boot, then slightly move the carpet near the back of the light to be removed. Once you have access to the large white screw, completely unscrew it. Next, grasp the light, pull it towards you to detach it from the bodywork, and disconnect the power connector.

At this point, you can proceed with replacing the damaged component.
