How the Automatic Gearbox Works on a Volkswagen T-Roc

For those unfamiliar with automatic gearboxes, note that these vehicles have only two pedals: brake and accelerator. To start the car, press the brake while turning the ignition. The instrument panel will indicate that the car is in 'P', meaning it is parked, and the 'P' will also light up on the gear knob. This gearbox allows for positions including R=Reverse, N=Neutral, D=Drive, for normal driving, and S=Sequential, where you can change gears using the paddles on the steering wheel. There is a button on the knob that acts like a clutch; pull it back to engage R to exit parking. To switch to Drive, keep your foot on the brake and move directly to D. Gradually release the brake pedal, and the car will start moving, changing gears automatically; you only need to accelerate and brake. To use the sequential gearbox, pull the lever to the right and use the buttons on the steering wheel. The instrument panel will highlight that it is in 'S'.
