Replacing the rear light bulb on a Volkswagen Golf 6 is a very simple task. The first step is to open the boot. The second step is to remove the side fabric cover to access the light. The third step is to disconnect the connector and then remove the retaining nut to extract the light. The fourth step is to pull out the light and unclip the internal cover by lifting both clips simultaneously. The fifth step is to remove the bulb and insert a new one. To refit the light into its housing, follow the previous steps in reverse order and then move on to the left light.
