Operation: How do you replace the handle of the sliding tailgate of the Volkswagen Transporter?

In order to replace the handle of the sliding door of the Volkswagen Transporter, you need to open the door itself so that the inner protective panel can be removed. This panel needs to be detached from the door by loosening the screws that hold it in place. Underneath it, you will be able to locate the actuator of the handle, to which you need to disconnect the cable in order to remove the cylinder from the outside of the door. Once the cylinder has been removed, you can also remove the handle itself so that the new handle can be inserted along with the corresponding cylinder.
