The reset operation for the Service light on the Volkswagen Tiguan is performed while the car is off, with only the instrument panel on. Next, press and hold the 0.0 button located in the centre of the instrument panel. While holding it down, press the button that starts the car: this will display a message asking if you really want to reset the Service light. Pressing the 0.0 button again will correctly reset the light, and you can verify that the reset has occurred; finally, the instrument panel can be turned off.
