Replacement of Brake Pads and Discs

Model: Volkswagen Touareg MK 1, 7L - Years 2002-2010

The equipment for this job consists of a set of socket wrenches, a hammer, a screwdriver, and a special tool. Use this tool to remove the plastic caps over the wheel bolts. Using a Torx key, unscrew the two retaining screws of the disc while holding it steady. Unscrew the two bolts of the caliper and gently remove the caliper and its bracket; first, however, remove the retaining springs of the pads, which need to be taken off. Remove the disc, and if the disc is stuck, use a rubber hammer and tap it until it completely comes off the hub. Fit the new disc, reattach the caliper bracket, the new pads, and assemble everything.
