How to reset the Service light on the Volkswagen Polo?

To reset the Service light on the Volkswagen Polo, switch on the instrument panel and repeatedly press the button with two rectangles located at the centre of the panel: keep pressing until the screen showing the mileage and the trip meter appears. At this point, you can turn off the instrument panel and then hold down the 0.0/SET button: while holding it, turn the ignition key and switch the instrument panel back on. Now you can release the button and press the button with the rectangles again, noting that the light will be reset.
