To replace the steering angle sensor on Volkswagen vehicles, loosen the screws that secure the airbag at the centre of the steering wheel, located at its rear. After loosening the screws, you can remove the airbag and disconnect its connectors. At this point, loosen the central nut that secures the steering wheel, removing it along with the plastics around the steering column. You can now locate the steering angle sensor, which can be removed from its housing by loosening its screws and replaced with a new one.
