Replacement and Maintenance of the Cabin Air Filter

Model: Volkswagen Golf Golf IV, MK 4, Golf 4 - Years 1997-2003
Part: Air filter

Lift the bonnet and unscrew the bolts located near the top right corner of the windscreen, after removing the seal. Now, remove this cover and by lifting the plastic part, you can pull up the air filter, which will come out easily. Remember the orientation of the filter as it is crucial during reinstallation. After discarding the old filter, position the new one in the same way as the old filter, and taking care not to damage it during reinsertion, refit all covers by following the steps described above in reverse.
