Volkswagen Polo - Video tutorial
Model: Volkswagen Polo
MK V, 6R, Polo 5, Polo V, MK 5
- Years 2009-2017 The airbag warning light on the Volkswagen Polo indicates that a generic electronic problem has occurred with the operation of the airbags: this often involves damage to the airbag modules. In order to solve the problem, it is necessary to remove the airbag in the center of the steering wheel by loosening the rear screws: then, by extracting the airbag, the central nut fixing the steering wheel can be loosened and removed completely. At this point, the plastic coverings around the steering column can be removed, revealing the airbag modules underneath: these can be removed and disconnected, and replaced with new ones.
