Volkswagen Golf - Video tutorial
Model: Volkswagen Golf
Golf 3, MK 3, Golf III
- Years 1991-1997 In this video we see how to adjust the handbrake tension on a Volkswagen Golf III: remember that by adjusting the handbrake, the rear wheels will brake much better. The YouTuber has already removed all the superstructures from the handbrake mechanism. We will need two 10mm keys, one fixed and one mixed, and with these we will have to tighten the rear brake screws, but first we will have to loosen the two screws that stop the adjustment screws, so that they can move easily. Let's adjust them both to the same height and then bring back the closing screws. The handbrake lever should make three, at most four clicks, once it is properly adjusted.
