How to replace the battery of a VW Passat key

Today we will explain how to replace the battery of the key/remote on a 2016 Volkswagen Passat when it stops working. The first thing to do is to remove, applying a slight force, the cover of the remote in order to open it. The second thing to do is to remove the battery and insert a new one, a CR2032 3 Volt model. We finish the replacement by closing the remote cover and going near the vehicle to test the correct functioning of the key even from a distance. If it does not work, it may be necessary to reprogram the key.
