How do you replace the control unit of the Volkswagen Transporter?

In order to replace the control unit of the Volkswagen Transporter, you need to open the hood so that you can access the components inside the engine compartment: you will need to remove the battery from its housing on the right side of the engine compartment. Underneath it, you will be able to locate the control unit, which must be freed from its position by loosening the screws that hold it in place and disconnecting the power cables; this way you can insert the new control unit in its place and connect it to the appropriate cables. This way you can secure it and reinsert the battery.
