How to disassemble the cigarette lighter of the Volkswagen Passat

Today we will see the process of disassembling and replacing the cigarette lighter of the Volkswagen Passat, if necessary replacing it with a 12V socket. First of all, we get on board the cabin and start removing the plastic side covers, located under the gear lever; then we unscrew the fixing screws that we find in the holes, as shown in the video. At this point we disconnect the electrical connector of the cigarette lighter to remove it, replacing the component if necessary; we make the electrical connection and finally reassemble the side plastics!
