In this video we can see that an alarm system that had become stuck on a Volkswagen Golf IV was reset with a simple trick. The car had been stationary for over a month, and the battery had drained. After charging the battery, the youtuber tried to start the car, but after one attempt, it would turn off, turning on a warning light that turned out to be the immobilizer: in fact, after the battery had drained, this is a security measure to prevent the engine from starting. The solution was to keep the key in the "on" position for about 10 minutes with the battery charging. After that, the car started up normally and the warning light turned off.
