How to remove the original radio from a Volvo V50? Start by using a plastic lever to remove the radio frame (below the air vents) and the central tunnel frame as shown in the video. Then, using a screwdriver, unscrew the securing screws located on either side of the radio (if present). After unscrewing the side screws of the stereo, pull the front part out of its housing (including the trim that extends to the tunnel). Unscrew the rear part of the radio and remove it (disconnect the various power connectors located at the back). To install the new stereo and the various removed pieces, proceed in reverse.
