How to Reset the Infotainment System of the Volvo XC90

Like any electronic system, the infotainment system of the Volvo XC90 can sometimes experience minor issues, slowdowns, or freezes. There are three types of resets: the soft reboot resolves minor temporary issues and is performed by holding down the power button on the touchscreen for a few seconds until the system restarts. The hard reset is a complete reboot: you need to disconnect the battery for 5 to 10 minutes or use an OBD2 tool with Volvo software. You may then need to pair Bluetooth devices. Finally, the factory reset restores the system to its original settings, deleting all personal settings. Access this from the settings/menu/system/factory data reset. It will erase all user data.
