Dismantling Cabin Fan on Volvo V40

Model: Volvo V40 MK 1 - Years 1995-2012

Use a plastic wedge to remove the trim surrounding the climate control buttons, then unscrew the four screws now exposed at the corners. Extract the controls by disconnecting the connections, and attempt to replace the control itself. If it still does not work, move on to the fan. It is located at the bottom of the dashboard, accessible from the passenger side by removing the panel under the glove compartment. At this point, try changing the dissipator connected to the connector, as shown in the video, which is usually the cause of the problem. Otherwise, unscrew the fan support and replace the fan.
