To replace the battery in the Volvo S80 remote, slide the key out from the top of the device to leverage inside its housing: this will allow you to separate the two halves of the shell that make up the remote, revealing the battery inside. You can now remove it to replace it with a new spare part; after replacement, close the two shells of the remote to ensure the device works correctly with the new battery.
