In the unfortunate event that the accelerator becomes stuck at full throttle, it is best to take preventive measures before it can cause an accident. The issue is simply due to the plastic stop located on the carpet to prevent it from forming a hole. This plastic disc has a small diameter and a thin edge that allows the pedal to jam, keeping the engine revved to maximum. To resolve the problem, simply remove the disc from its seat and install the new improved version. The thicker edge and larger diameter prevent this serious inconvenience.
