Replacing the Wishbone on the Alfa Romeo 147

Let's see how to proceed with replacing the wishbone of the suspension on the Alfa Romeo 147. Put the car on a lift and raise it so you can work underneath the vehicle. Unscrew the nuts that hold it in place and remove the wheel.

Using a pneumatic wrench and a 19mm spanner, unscrew the nuts of the wishbone attachment near the disc; using a pin and a hammer, push the bolt to free the slot. With a spanner and a ratchet, also 19mm, unscrew the nut and bolt of the attachment at the centre of the floor pan. Once the bolt is removed, you can take out the wishbone and replace it with a new one. Reinsert the bolts from both sides and hand-tighten the nuts.

Using a hydraulic jack, relieve the load by pivoting under the suspension attachment and finish tightening the two nuts properly. Remove the jack, refit the wheel, and lower the car.
