How do you replace the photochromic rearview mirror with an electrochromic mirror in an Alfa Romeo Giulietta?

So if you want to replace the photochromic rearview mirror with an electrochromic one, the job is feasible with a bit of patience. Disconnect the battery for safety reasons. Then take a screwdriver and carefully remove the plastic cover around the mirror that covers the wiring. Once the connectors are uncovered, disconnect the old mirror and remove it by pulling it upwards with a firm motion. Now take the new electrochromic mirror and connect it to the existing cables, usually the connector is compatible. Finally, reassemble the cover, reconnect the battery and test if everything works by turning on the car. If it darkens with the rear light, you have done a great job. If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, contact a trusted workshop.
