How to Replace the Front Window Regulator of an Alfa Romeo 156

This guide shows how to dismantle the electric window regulator of the Alfa Romeo 156. After removing the inner door panel on the side you are working on, proceed with the disassembly. To replace it, you need to remove the soundproofing panel without damaging it. Disconnect the glass clamp and remove it from the regulator. With the glass pulled into the closed position, secure it with tape. Disconnect the power cable of the motor. Unscrew the mounting bolts of the guide and motor using a 10 mm hex key. You can remove the window regulator by passing it through the lower hole. Lubricate all moving parts of the new unit and reinstall it in position. Refit the mounting screws and reconnect the power cable of the motor. At this point, you can reattach the glass clamp to the regulator. Check the correct operation of the part before refitting the soundproofing panel and the inner door panel. The operation is now complete.
