In today’s video tutorial, you will see how to change the gearbox oil on an Alfa Romeo 156 1.8 Twin Spark. First, lift the vehicle and locate the gearbox oil drain plug; then unscrew it with a socket spanner and let the oil drain into a container. Once drained, screw the plug back in and open the fill plug located on the side: be careful of the magnet found in the plug, which collects any metal filings from the gears. Then, insert the new oil, filling it to the correct level.
