This video shows the main steps to remove and replace the gear shift cable on the Alfa Romeo 156 1.8 Twin Spark. First, open the bonnet and start by removing the battery to access the top of the gear shift cable; then disconnect it from the linkage. Next, remove the catalytic converter and the exhaust manifold to pull out the gear shift cable; take off the gaiter and the central tunnel of the gearbox, then replace the wiring. Finally, reassemble everything, following the video until the end!
