Remove the grey top cover by prying it off from below with the spatula, taking care not to scratch it. Now take the spanner and undo the central bolt, then remove the gear knob. Be careful not to lose the reverse spring located inside.

To complete the operation, reposition the spring in the new knob, secure it again with the spanner, and place the cover on the new knob.
