How to Replace the Lambda Sensor

Model: Alfa Romeo 156 MK 1 - Years 1997-2007

The video shows the steps to replace the lambda sensor, a component that monitors exhaust gases to send feedback to the engine control unit and thus regulate the fuel flow. Our car will be placed on a jack to allow us to work on the sensor and remove it from its housing, after disconnecting the connection cable in the engine bay. For the entire procedure, only an adjustable spanner and a cable for retrieving the connector of the new sensor, which will be connected to the upper part of the engine bay, will be necessary. The procedure is illustrated on an Alfa Romeo 156 1.8 TS 16V.
