How to Dismantle the Fuel Pump on Fiat/Lancia/Alfa

If you experience engine starting issues, it is likely due to a fuel supply problem caused by a malfunction of the low-pressure pump submerged in the tank. To dismantle it, remove the rear seat by simply lifting it upwards. You will then access the pump housing: remove the protective plastic cover, disconnect the connector and the pipes, then unscrew the plastic ring that secures the pump flange to the tank and carefully extract it, paying attention to any fuel spillage.
