Clutch Pedal Spring Defect on Alfa 159

If you hear a clicking noise when pressing and releasing the clutch pedal, it is likely that the housing for the ends of the return spring has worn out, as these are plastic bushings made from square-section moulding within the pedal assembly. To permanently resolve this issue, first remove the pedal assembly and then create steel bushings to replace the plastic ones in their respective housings, ensuring proper seating and secure fixing.
