Disassembly of the floating fuel pump of an Audi A6

Model: Audi A6 MK 2, C5 - Years 1997-2004
Part: Fuel pump

This video explains how to disassemble the fuel pump of an Audi A6. To begin with, we disconnect the battery cables, then remove the rear seat of the car. We will find the wiring and a metal piece with screws, which we need to disassemble. Unscrew the tightening screws of the metal cap with a socket wrench and remove it from its seat. We wrap the entire perimeter of the sheet with absorbent paper (fabrics), then, with a chisel, unscrew the large locking pin. Finally we disconnect the power supply terminals and the liquid circulation tubes. We take out the floating fuel pump from the tank.
