How to Remove the Front Headlight of an Audi A1

Model: Audi A1 8X, MK 1 - Years 2010-2018

To remove the front headlight on an Audi A1, open the bonnet and locate the upper fixing screws of the headlight assembly, then unscrew them. To access the lower and side screws, it may be necessary to partially loosen the front bumper. Slightly lift the vehicle to facilitate access to the lower screws of the bumper, remove clips and screws at the bottom and inside the wheel arch, then unscrew the upper screws under the bonnet. Once the bumper is freed, gently pull it forward to reach the lower screws of the headlight, unscrew them and free the headlight assembly. Carefully pull the headlight outwards and disconnect the electrical connector at the back. After disconnecting the wiring, you can completely remove the headlight. For reassembly, reconnect the connector, position the headlight in its seat, re-screw all the screws and reattach the bumper ensuring it is securely fixed.
