To reset the TipTronic automatic transmission on the Audi A7, you need to perform a self-learning procedure called kickdown, which restores all transmission parameters. To carry out this procedure, turn the ignition on without starting the engine.

At this point, press the accelerator pedal all the way down for about thirty seconds. While keeping the pedal pressed, turn off the ignition and then turn it back on. After this, the transmission parameters will be reset and can be reconfigured while driving.
