How to replace the shift knob on your Audi A4. In this video, we will see how to do it. Use a plastic lever to detach the trim of the leather boot. Grab the knob with your hands and rotate it left and right until you remove it from the shift lever (cut the plastic tie). For installation, take the new knob and slide it onto the lever in the center console. Tighten it onto the lever. Slide the new leather boot with the clips down to the console. Finally, test the movement of the lever in the center console to ensure the knob is properly installed.
