Replacing the Key Battery on Audi A1

If the battery in the Audi A1 remote key is flat, it’s best to replace it. Take the car's ignition key and press the release button for the metal key in the housing. Insert a screwdriver into the slot and lever it until you separate the cap from the plastic cover. Remove the depleted battery and insert the new one. Then, close the remote key with the cover and secure the metal key in the remote cover. Test the remote key with the buttons. If it doesn’t work, disassemble the key again and check the battery.
