Heater Core Replacement

This video explains how to replace the heater core in an Audi A6. The car is shown already disassembled in the images, and the location of the heater core is identified. The video explains that to access it, you need to remove all the plastic parts covering the heater, after which you must unscrew the screws that secure it. For the replacement, you also need to disconnect the battery, drain and replace (if necessary) the coolant. The core (a true radiator) consists of two tubes (one for intake and one for discharge) that need to be detached by loosening the clamps that hold them. If they are very worn (as in this case), both tubes should also be replaced; connect the new radiator to them. Then reinstall all the fastening devices and all the plastic parts.
