Replacing the key battery on an Audi A3? Remove the key cover to extract the battery. Take your ignition key and use a screwdriver to pry between the two plastic halves until the rear cover separates. Remove the flat battery with a screwdriver and take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reattach the cover to the key fob until you hear it click into place. Check the key fob's operation by testing the door lock and unlock buttons. Ensure that the plastic cover is securely closed.
