How to replace the thermostat on an Audi A4

Model: Audi A4 B8 - Years 2007-2016
Part: Thermostat

Before we can start, we will have to go and open the front hood of our Audi A4. So let's start by removing the top engine cover, simply disengaging it. After that we will have to go and regularly empty the cooling system, so as to avoid leaks during disassembly. Once the system is emptied, we can go and unscrew the bolts that secure the thermostat cover located behind the alternator. Once we have removed the cover fixing bolts, we will be able to remove the cover itself, thus reaching the thermostat. To disassemble it, we will simply have to extract it, and we will have finished the disassembly. To mount the new thermostat and close everything, all we have to do is repeat these instructions in reverse, and we will have completed the replacement.
