Operation: Removing the front shock absorber

Lift the car on special car stands, taking care to position them in correspondence with the reinforcement rib; remove the bolt fixing the shock absorber to the swinging arm of the front suspension; then remove the connecting rod fixing clamp from the upper part of the swinging arm by extracting the ball heads from the clamp itself; then access the engine compartment and remove the fixing pins of the shock absorber support so as to be able to remove the shock absorber complete with spring, support and connecting rods. In order to then replace the shock absorber, it is necessary to compact the spring with the appropriate clamps.

How to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo

Let's see in this short and simple guide the instructions that will allow us to open the bonnet of the Volkswagen Polo. First of all we open the front door, on the driver's side, and start pulling the opening lever of the engine hood, in order to open the lock; then let's move to the front of the vehicle and unhook the tab that we find on the central part, above the manufacturer's emblem, as shown in the video. At this point we block the bonnet with the lateral rod; then we accompany the bonnet down to close it again!
