To replace the timing chain on the Audi A5, you need to open the bonnet to access the engine bay: you will need to loosen all the supports securing the engine and subsequently lift the car to extract the engine from underneath. This will allow you to loosen the bolts securing the engine's side protective cover and also loosen the central pins of the chain tensioner pulleys so that the chain itself can be removed. Once the old chain is removed, the new one can be installed, and all previously removed parts can be reassembled.
