Replace the door lock of the Audi if it does not work with the remote or the key; this indicates a problem with the soldering or the micro switch. The lock consists of several parts: the central locking and other components. To perform the job correctly, you need to disassemble various components: remove the four connections from the central locking unit, the cylinders, the external handle, the glass, the window frame, and the internal door trim. Once you have removed the plastic inner panel and the securing screws, you will find a micro switch with a snap mechanism. This item is held in place by a spring that must be carefully removed. To facilitate the removal of the lock, you may also consult an authorised workshop, which typically costs around £150.
