In this video tutorial we will see how to disassemble the floating fuel pump of an Audi A4 B8. First we access the back of the car and we go to disassemble the rear sofa, lifting and unhooking it; then we are going to unscrew the screws of the float pump cover. At this point we disconnect the electrical connector of the pump and remove the fuel pipe; now we are going to unscrew the ring nut of the float, with the help of a flat screwdriver, and extract our pump, as shown in the video. We just have to reassemble the new one, applying the reverse procedure.

Lift the car on a column lift and (at your preferred height) use a socket wrench to unscrew the sump plug, allowing the oil to drain into a container (for disposal) and then re-screw the plug. Remove all the side plastics protecting the undercarriage using a battery or manual drill, then unscrew the fastening bolts around the perimeter of the oil sump.
