Replacing the Car Pump

Changing your car's pump can be slightly complicated, but with a bit of patience and good will, it can be done. Each step necessary to disassemble the pump requires utmost care to avoid damaging parts of the car. The pump is located at the front of the vehicle, under the hood. You need to remove the cover that secures the belt by unscrewing the bolts. Then, remove the timing gear and finally the tensioner bearing. At this point, you can extract the pump by removing the screws present. Before replacing the pump with the new one, it is advisable to clean the engine block of any debris.
