Hydraulic Lifters and Camshaft

Model: Audi A6 MK 2, C5 - Years 1997-2004
Part: Engine

If you are rebuilding an Audi engine with a hydraulic lifter system, you will need to replace the lifter pistons, retainers, and pushrods. Before installing the camshaft, generously lubricate the sliding surfaces, insert the new bearings, and then install the camshaft itself, repeating the lubrication before applying the mounting brackets and aligning the timing references. Repeat the same steps for the second bank, insert the seals, and proceed with the installation on the cylinder block, completing the assembly of the timing belt.

How to Remove the Spark Plugs from a Mercedes C-Class

Want to remove the spark plugs from your Mercedes? Let's see how to do it in this video. Pull the hood release lever and lift the front hood, then secure it. You will find the coils under the metal soundproofing panel covering the engine. Remove the panel with a socket wrench and take it off. Disconnect the coils by hand, then use your socket wrench to unscrew the spark plugs until they come out of the cylinder head. Take the new spark plugs and insert them into the cylinder head, connect the respective power connectors, and reinstall the soundproofing panel.
